To provide a cellulose acetate film which is excellent in tear strength, flexural strength, and optical properties and has a good long term storage stability, and an optical film, a polarizer, an optical compensation film, a liquid crystal display, and a silver halide photographic material which are excellent in above properties and use the cellulose acetate film.
The cellulose acylate film, is manufactured by a series of processes including a casting process for casting a cellulose acylate composition containing cellulose acylate, a photopolymerized polymer initiator (MI) 2×104 or below in weight average molecular weight which is shown by formula (MI) and in which a photo-radical generating group is bonded to one terminal of the main chain of the polymer, and a radically polymerizable monomer (A) and a process in which the composition is irradiated with light. And also, the optical film, the polarizer, the optical compensation film, the liquid crystal display, and the silver halide photographic material which use the cellulose acylate film are provided.
