Abstract:
To provide a cellulose benzoate which can be used as a semi-permeable membrane or a film material.SOLUTION: There is provided a cellulose benzoate in which a hydrogen atom of a hydroxyl group at the 2-, 3- and 6-position of a constitutional unit of cellulose is substituted with a benzoyl group, wherein the average substitution degree at the 2-, 3- and 6-position has a relation of the 3-position substitution degree≥the 2-position substitution degree>the 6-position substitution degree and the total average substitution degree is in the range of 1.5 to 2.5.SELECTED DRAWING: None
