To avoid contact of an endless belt with a peripheral part such as a casting die or the like by absorbing or suppressing the movement (flotation) of the endless belt due to the thermal elongation especially at the time of drying and heating of a web to form a stable film forming condition, that is, a stable manufacturing condition and to always efficiently manufacture a cellulose ester film excellent in quality, in an apparatus for manufacturing the cellulose ester film used, for example, for the protective film of a polarizing plate by a solution casting film forming method.

In the apparatus for manufacturing the cellulose ester film, the roll for supporting at least the upper transfer part 2a of the drive endless belt 2 from the back side thereof among a plurality of rolls for supporting the upper and lower transfer parts 2a and 2b of the drive endless belt 2 is driven by a tendency drive roll 3.
