Abstract:
To provide a process for manufacturing a high-quality cellulose ester film showing no defects, even when formed into a thin film, to prepare a high- quality cellulose ester film obtained through this process and to provide a polarizing plate.
In a process for manufacturing a cellulose ester film, a dope containing a cellulose ester having an acyl group- and acetyl group-substitution degree of from 2.3 to 2.85 and from 1.4 to 2.85, respectively, a compound having at least two aromatic rings wherein at least two of the aromatic rings have planar structures and an organic solvent, is cast into a film through solvent- casing film-formation.
