Abstract:
To provide a cellulose ether composition having high bulk density, and to provide a method capable of easily increasing the bulk density of the cellulose ether and, if required, simultaneously giving the effects of powder fineness to finer products.
An additive selected from among starch, starch ether, guar, guar ether and xanthan of 0.1-10 mass% based on cellulose ether anhydride is measured and fed as an aqueous solution or a powder to a hydrous cellulose ether having 25-75% moisture content based on moist cellulose ether mass, and, under mixing and optionally adding water, polyacrylamide is measured and fed as an aqueous solution to the hydrous cellulose ether.
