Abstract:
To provide a cellulose fiber treated with a polysaccharide-containing fiber-treating composition to modify characteristics of the cellulose fiber and a method for applying the polysaccharide-containing fiber-treating composition to the cellulose fiber.
A wet laid web of the cellulose fiber used for producing an airlaid mass of the fiber contains the cellulose fiber and at least one species of the fiber-treating composition containing a reagent having hydrogen bonding functionality. The fiber-treating composition distributes inside the wetlaid web of the cellulose fiber.
