Abstract:

To obtain a lightweight and storing plate or molding product by utilizing a papermaking pulp sludge and a beet pulp treated as a low value material such as a fuel and a feed.

This molding product having a prescribed shape is obtained by uniformly mixing a papermaking pulp sludge and a beet pulp in each slurry state, charging the mixture in a mold, and performing dehydration, drying and heat treatment of the charged mixture. The lightweight and strong molding product is obtained because of a hydrogen bond between fine cellulosic fibers from the papermaking sludge, and an action of the beet pulp consisting essentially of hemicellulose and pectin as a binder.
