Title:
CENTRIFUGAL CLUTCH INTERLOCKED WITH TRANSMISSION GEAR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5652629
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the vibrating rotation of a shift shaft of a centrifugal clutch in which some play is provided between the shift shaft and a driving shaft, by providing a cam means for normally holding the shift shaft in its neutral position and uncoupling the clutch at the time when the shift shaft is moved for shifting gears. CONSTITUTION:A shift shaft 14 is connected to a cam plate 61 via a clutch arm 40. Since the cam plate 61 is not turned in the state that the clutch pedal is not depressed, a support shaft 56 is not moved, so that the shift shaft 14 is held in its neutral position by the force of a spring 54. When the clutch pedal is depressed, on the other hand, cam plate 61 is turned and rides on a ball 65, so that support shaft 56 is moved in the direction shown by arrow C and clutch clutch plates 46, 47 come out of engagement. When the shift shaft 14 is turned further against the force of a spring 28 in the state that a centrifugal clutch 18 is not in operation, an actuator arm 25 and a lever 30 are turned for actuating a shift cam 35, so that engagement of shift gears can be changed.
