First and second ballance rooms 15 and 18 communicating with a water balancer 10 provided for one of baffles through vents 16 and 19. are provided concentrically with respect to a main shaft 8. In order to adjust ballance with an eccentric load caused by the eccentric presence of wash, water is introduced to the balancer 10 through a water guiding room 11 and when an eccentric quantity becomes small, water injection is stopped to shift to fast dehydrating rotation. With the reduction of the weight of wash by dehydration, water in the balancer 10 shifts into the rooms 15 and 18 and with the reduction of the weight 10, water in the room 15 and 18 act to suppress the oscillation of the drum 5.
