To make it possible to atomize to finely particulate fuel as prescribed in an entire operating range by installing a shroud for colliding atomized fuel at the outside of the fuel flow-out part of a fuel atomizing port in a centrifugal fuel atomizer for atomizing the fuel to finely particulate it by injecting the fuel by the centrifugal force due to the rotation of a rotary shaft from the port.
In operating a centrifugal fuel atomizer, the fuel supplied into a fuel supply port 22 flows in a thin film state in the port 22 by the rotation of a rotary shaft 1, passes a fuel atomizing port 4 by a centrifugal force and collides with a shroud 10. Further, the fuel 2 flows as a thin film along the lower surface of the shroud 10 to become atomized fuel scattered to the outside by the centrifugal force from the end of the shroud 10. In this case, the fuel flowing out from the port 4 is once collided with the inner plate surface of the shroud 10, and atomized by the centrifugal force after the collision. According to this, a predetermined atomized state of the fuel can be easily obtained without accurately setting the position and atomizing angle of the port 4.
