Abstract:
To provide a centrifugal separator which can detect carrying-in error of a specimen container to a centrifuge with high accuracy, and a centrifugal separation method.SOLUTION: A centrifugal separator comprises: a centrifugal separator which comprises a centrifugal separation unit comprising a holding part for holding a work-piece and a rotor for rotating the holding part, and an image sensor that has an image sensor and images the holding part; a transfer mechanism which performs carrying-in processing for carrying the work-piece into the centrifugal separation unit; and a sensor processing part which detects a state of the work-piece after carrying-in processing on the basis of the image of the holding part imaged before rotation processing for rotating the rotor, after the carrying-in processing for transferring the work-piece to the holding part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
