Abstract:
To narrow the distance between a brake disk and a magnet in conjunction with increase in the number of rotations by forming the brake disk, opposed to the magnet, of an elastically deformable material.
In a centrifugal variable eddy current speed limiter, the brake disk (6) opposed to the magnet (3) can be elastically deformed. When the rotational speed is increased, the brake disk is elastically deformed. As a result, the distance (D) between the brake disk (6) and the magnet (3) is reduced and this increases braking force.
