Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A cephalosporin analog of formula I: (X is-O-or-S-; R1 is (un)substituted amino group; R2 is (protected) carboxy group; the thick solid line is single or double bond), and its salts.
EXAMPLE: 7 β-Amino-1-oxadethia-2-oxo-3-cephem-4-carboxylic benzyl exter.
USE: Preventive and remedies for microbisms particularly effective against fungi infectious diseases.
PROCESS: A novel compound of formula II: [R3a is H; R3b is formula III (R4 is lower alkyl group); or R3a and R3b may form=P(R5)3; R5 is lower alkyl, aryl group, etc.], reactive derivative at the formyl group, e.g. dimethyl acetal, or its salt, is subjected to ring closure at room temperature or under heating to give the compound of formula Ia.
