Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compd. of formula I [R1 is a group of formula II (R3 is phenyl, monosubstd. phenyl, a cyclohexadienyl of formula III), formula IV [R4O- sym-position, R4 is -CH3, -CH2COOH, -C(CH3)2COOH]; R2 is a 1 to 4C alkyl, phenyl] or its salt.
EXAMPLE: 7-Cyclohexadienylaminoacetoamide-3-isopropenyl-3-cephem-4- diphenylmethyl carboxylate.
USE: An oral antibiotic exhibiting broad antibiotic activity to gram-negative bacteria.
PROCESS: A compd. expressed by formula V (carboxyl is a protected form) is reacted with a reactive deriv. compd. expressed by formula VI or formula VII (amino may be protected) and thereafter, the protecting group is removed.
