Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject abrasion resistant particles consisting of a composite structure by welding an iron-based welding material to a nonferrous-oxide dispersed in oil while feeding both materials to the cooled metal surface and generating a sputter-like welded metal while generating H2 gas, etc., in oil content.
CONSTITUTION: A sludge 1 obtained by dispersing a nonferrous oxide in an oil is continuously fed to a water cooling roll 8 which is a cooling metal face and simultaneously an iron-based welding material (welding wire) 4 is fed thereto and the iron-based welding material is welded to the nonferrous oxide by subjecting welding electric current to pulse control to generate sputter 10. This sputter 10 is collected by absorbing the sputter to a magnetic 12 to provide the objective ceramics-based abrasion resistant particles consisting of a composite structure having the nonferrous oxide crystallized around primary crystals or eutectic oxide of the iron-based oxide.
