Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic glow plug which can protect both a peripheral side of an anode and a peripheral side of a cathode in a ceramic heater from stress.SOLUTION: A ceramic glow plug comprises a ceramic heater 2, a sleeve 31, a housing 32, an energization terminal 4 and a cap 5. The ceramic heat 2 has a rod-shaped ceramic base body 21, a heater element 22, lead parts 221, 222, an anode 23 and a cathode 24. A side face 201 of the ceramic base body 21 including a surface of the anode 23 and the cap 5 are joined to each other via an active-metal metallized layer 6, a plated layer 63 and a solder material 65. The side face 201 of the ceramic base body 21 including a surface of the cathode 24 and the sleeve 31 are joined to each other via a glass metallized layer 7, a plated layer 73 and a solder material 75.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
