Abstract:
To provide a ceramic heater capable of attaining high thermal shock resistance in simple configuration, and a ceramic glow plug.SOLUTION: A glow plug 1 comprises a conductive ceramic 11 having a heating part 12 formed into a U shape, and an insulated ceramic 16 covering at least the heating part 12. The insulated ceramic 16 has, on an outer peripheral surface 16b, a curve surface swollen outward. The heating part 12 has an outer surface 12d approximate to the outer peripheral surface 16b of the insulated ceramic 16, and an inner surface 12e opposite to the outer surface. The outer surface 12d of the heating part 12 is formed along the outer peripheral surface 16b of the insulated ceramic 16, and the inner surface 12e of the heating part 12 is flat or recessed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
