Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic heater or a glow plug which can raise temperature rise performance and reduce power consumption.SOLUTION: A ceramic heater 40 includes a substrate 110 made of an insulating ceramic and a heating resistor 120 made of a conductive ceramic and buried in the substrate 110. A heat generating portion 121 of the heating resistor 120 includes a first resistance portion 121A connected to the distal end side of a first conductive portion 122 and extending along the axial direction, a second resistance portion 121B connected to the distal end side of a second conductive portion 123 and extending along the axial direction, and a connecting portion 121C that connects the distal end sides of the first resistance portion 121A and the second resistance portion 121B. A low heat conducting portion 130 has a thermal conductivity lower than that of the substrate 110, and when the ceramic heater 40 is viewed in a cross section orthogonal to the axial direction passing through the first resistance portion 121A and the second resistance portion 121B, at least a part of the ceramic heater is disposed inside a region where the first resistance portion 121A and the second resistance portion 121B face each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
