Abstract:

To obtain ceramic material with high heat resistance and high thermal shock resistance.

The ceramic material is comprised of a main crystal phase of which is β spodumene solid solution containing SiO2 of 55-80 wt.%, Al2O3 of 16-38 wt.%, Li2O of 4-15 wt.% and oxide impurity of ≤1.0 wt.%, and fire resistant grain dispersed in the ceramic material, the coefficient of linear expansion of which is larger than that of the ceramic material. The amount of the fire resistant grain is 5-15 wt.% of the total amount of the ceramic material and the fire resistant grain.
