Abstract:

To provide a highly efficient high color rendering ceramic metal halide lamp having high color temperature of 3800-4500K.

Wall surface load of a luminous tube is 20-30 W/cm², and an iodide of a halogen additive is encapsulated in the luminous tube as a luminescent material. The iodide of a halogen additive consists of (1) dysprosium iodide (DyI₃), (2)thulium iodide (TmI₃), (3)cerium iodide (CeI₃), (4)sodium iodide (NaI), (5)calcium iodide (CaI₂), and (6)thallium iodide (TlI). For the total amount of (1)-(6), the (1) dysprosium iodide (DyI₃) is 7-12 mol%, and the encapsulation mol ratio (CeI₃/DyI₃) of the (3)cerium iodide (CeI₃) for the (1) dysprosium iodide (DyI₃) is 0.2-0.6.
