Title:
CERAMIC-METAL JOINED BODY, ITS PRODUCTION AND HIGH TEMPERATURE TYPE SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000327442
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To produce a ceramic-metal joined body with joined parts having high bonding strength and excellent in corrosion resistance and to obtain a high temperature type secondary battery excellent in durability and having a long service life by using the joined body.

A laminated body consisting of ceramic members 11 comprising α-alumina, a metallic member 13 comprising stainless steel (SUS304) with a Cr diffusion layer, a brazing filler metal 15 comprising an Al-Si brazing filler metal and a core material 17 comprising an Al-Mg alloy is heated to 560°C in a vacuum atmosphere under 1 Pa pressure and 5 MPa pressure is applied to the heated laminated body in the laminating direction for 60 min to produce the objective joined body 1. Since Si exists chiefly as Mg2Si and does not exist as simple Si grains in each Al alloy layer 21, the joined body 1 is excellent in corrosion resistance to Na, and since each layer comprising a crystalline phase consisting essentially of Al, Si and Cr prevents the formation of a brittle Al-Fe intermetallic compound, the joined body 1 has high bonding strength.
