PURPOSE: To obtain a ceramics boring bit which can withstand vibration and shock.

CONSTITUTION: A boring bit consists of a particulate or rod-shaped ceramics bit 4 and a matrix 5 arranged on the outer periphery of the ceramics bit 4, in order or firmly hold the ceramics bit 4. In order to embed the ceramics bit 4 into the matrix 5, the ceramics bit 4 is embedded into the metal power or metal which constitutes the matrix 5. The metal powder or metal in the embedding process is sintered at a high temperature and in a superhigh pressure environment, and the ceramics bit 4 and the metal powder or metal are diffusion-joined.
