Title:
CERAMICS FIRED AT LOW TEMPERATURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3719834
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart characteristics not including such thermal expansion property that thermal expansion varies suddenly in a specified temp. range to ceramics fired at a low temp. and made of a sintered compact contg. an SiO2-based filler such as quartz or cristobalite.
SOLUTION: This ceramics is made of a sintered compact obtd. by firing a mixture of glass with an SiO2-base filler such as quartz or cristobalite. The sintered compact contains SiO2-base crystals each having an X-ray diffraction image with the peak on the (101) face of quartz or cristobalite shifted to the lower angle side by at least 0.05° (2θ). Since the peak on the (101) face is shifted to the lower angle side, this ceramics can be made free from such property that thermal expansion varies rapidly in a temp. range peculiar to quartz or cristobalite.
