Abstract:
To provide a cermet-coated metal component which is optimal for a molten glass-conveying roll, inhibits cracks and peeling at a high temperature, and can be used for a long time.
The cermet-coated metal component is formed through a manufacturing method wherein a first coating layer is formed on the surface of a metal base material and a second coating layer mainly comprising a ceramic is formed on the first coating layer. The first coating layer comprises a ceramic phase and a metal phase, wherein the ceramic phase mainly comprises Co, Cr, B and at least either Mo or W and the metal phase mainly comprises Co and Cr. The conveying roll is prepared from the cermet-coated metal component.
