Title:
CHAFF FILLED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN FORMING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5825920
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a forming material excellent in formability by an arrangement wherein dried chaffs are mixed with particles of thermoplastic resin of less than 1mm in diameter at such a weight ratio that the former is less than 60% of the latter, and they are kneaded and caused to uniformly disperse by heating at a temperature lower than such a degree where rice hulls are not deteriorated by heat and after melting caused to solidify.

CONSTITUTION: To the particles of thermoplastic resin of less than 1mm in diameter, dried chaffs are added at the rate of 25W150wt% of the former and uniformly mixed and a mixture thus obtained is supplied to a hopper 11. The mixture of chaffs and particles of thermoplastic resin supplied to an extruding machine is thoroughly dispersed and thermoplastic resin begins to melt. Said mixture which is uniformly dispersed and melted is extruded by a metal mold 15 provided at the end of the extruding machine in the form of string 2 or sheet. The extruded mixture is cooled and solidifed by an air cooler 20. By this method, it is possible to utilize chaffs effectively and at the same time obtain a kind of thermoplastic resin forming material containing chaffs at a high density.
