Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a chain for a bicycle wherein an outer link is meshed smoothly with teeth of a gear and further advancing the teeth placed between an inner link and the outer link can be suppressed at speed change time.
CONSTITUTION: The first inside chamfered parts 10 of an outer link 1 are positioned in a part displaced to a link one end side from between pin hole centers 7a, 8a, to form a space, stopping a chain so that it is prevented from being easily position displaced in a lateral direction relating to a gear, between an inner link and the outer link. The second inside chamfered parts 11 are positioned between the centers 7a, 8a, also to position the ends 11a in ends between the pin hole centers, and even when the outer link 1 rides on teeth of the gear in the vicinity of the pin hole, the chain is guided between itself and the outer link. Inside non-chamfered parts 12 are positioned between the chamfered parts 10, 11, and even when happened the situation the chain rides on the teeth of the gear, the teeth are difficult to advance into between the outer link 1 and the inner link, so as to facilitate avoiding easy happening of link deformation.
