Title:
CHAIN CLEANING MECHANISM OF CHAIN DRIVEN CAN BODY TRANSFER DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09226922
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent the fume falling off from a chain from being stuck to a can body by automatically and forcibly eliminating the fume stuck to the chain.

A pin chain 6 is supported by carry sprockets 8 and 9 and traveled in a base cotter open 2. A plurality of pins are provided projectingly in the pin chain 6 at fixed intervals and a can body is supported by the pins and carried. During traveling of the pin chain 6 in the base cotter open 2, a solvent is stuck to the chain, and this stuck solvent is cooled to become a fume after the pin chain 6 is moved out of the base cotter open 2. Bending sprockets 11, 12 and 13 supported by winding the chain are disposed on the traveling route of the pin chain 6. During traveling of the pin chain 6 in the sprockets 11, 12 and 13, the chain is bent and a rotational force is provided to its link and thus the fume stuck to the chain is eliminated.
