Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain and a link plate capable of improving a tensile strength while keeping corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: A chain 11 is made in such a way that a plurality of link plates 14, 12 arranged in series, having insertion holes 20, 16 enabling pins 19 to be inserted at one end and the other end in a series direction X and made by stainless steel containing an austenite structure. The link plates are rotatably connected to other adjoining link plates 14, 12 in the series direction X at insertion holes 20, 16 at their ends by pins 19. An outside region in the series direction X rather than the centers of the insertion holes 20, 16 at both surfaces of the link plates 14, 12 is formed with compression processing parts 30, 31 where martensitic transformation is produced through compression processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
