Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain saw whose dressing work can be easily performed.SOLUTION: A chain saw has a grinding member 8 for grinding a saw chain 5, and an operation part 23 for pressing the grinding member 8 onto the saw chain 5. The operation part 23 is provided within a range in which the operation part can be operated by the thumb of a hand which holds a rear handle 3. Further, a grinding device operation member 20 is particularly provided within a range from the upper part of the handle 3 to a side opposite to a guide bar 4 of the handle 3, and the chain saw has regulation means for regulating an operation of the grinding device operation member 20 and release means for releasing the regulation means. The operation of the grinding device operation member 20 and the operation of the release means are independent from each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
