Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain saw which makes cutting chips and dust less likely to flow into a body casing while properly cooling a control unit in the body casing with outer air introduced by rotation of a cooling fan.SOLUTION: In a chain saw 10, a control unit 27 provided in a body casing 11 is cooled by a cooling fan 28 which is rotated by driving of an electric motor 21. A handle 30 includes: a base part 31 for attaching the handle to the body casing 11; and grip parts 32a and 33a which extend from the base part 31 and are held by a worker. Suction ports 11a are formed on the facing surface of the body casing 11 which faces the base part 31 of the handle 30, and the base part 31 is attached to the facing surface of the body casing 11 so as to cover the suction ports 11a in a state in which air can be suctioned.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
