To provide chain units for a conveyor chain capable of coping with various belt widths with one kind of chain units.
The chain units U1, U2 have projecting parts 11 extending alternately from ribs 10 and combined with the adjacent projecting parts 11 of the other unit. The projecting part 11 has a through hole laterally extending in the projecting part 11 so that a connecting bar 3 can be inserted through to connect with the other unit, and an opening part 13 continuous with the through hole is formed in every projecting part 11 in one example. Further, a plug 4 for restraining the slip-off of the connecting bar 3 can be inserted in the opening part 13 and locked. Whichever part of the unit is cut, the projecting part 11 positioned at the end of the unit always has the opening part 13 to allow the slip-off preventing plug 4 to be fitted in. Consequently, if the units of the same shape are prepared using one die, the width is adjusted by suitable cutting, and the conveyor chain 1 of requested belt width can be formed.
