PURPOSE: To supply a low cost chair capable of easily munipulating even by aged persons when a handicapped aged one stand up from a chair and seats on it.

CONSTITUTION: A chair is composed of a horizontal long bottom 1, a circular disk 2 rotatably supporting the bottom 1, a back seat 3 erected along the back end edge of the bottom plate 1, elbow holders 4, 4 protruded forward at both sides in front of the back seat 3, a seating plate 5 arranged between the bottom plate 1 and the elbow holders 4, 4, and a height adjusting mechanism 6 regulating the level of the seating plate 5. The height adjusting mechanism 6 is supported to be freely rotatable by the above elbow holders 4, 4 and the bottom plate 2. And further, a gear type transmission mechanism 9, a motor M, electric cells E are provided to rotate a couple of vertical screws 7, 7 inserted into a pair of vertical bolt holes formed in the above seating plate 5.
