Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a chalkless type mercury lamp wherein a Ne gas in which at least a member of Ar, Kr and Xe is mixed is used as a gas for starting a chalkless type mercury lamp, thereby reducing the current at the time of starting and the time up to stabilizing the same, and decreasing the loss of the tungsten filament.
