PURPOSE: To easily chamfer an end surface of a pipe with high quality by making use of a little power whatever the size of a workpiece pipe is.
CONSTITUTION: For deformation of the outer diameter of a pipe in processing, the spool 74 in a servo valve 45 is moved via a guide roll 71 in contact with a pipe outer peripheral surface and a roll support lever 72, whereby a flow rate of pressure oil to a hydraulic cylinder 32 is adjusted. The hydraulic cylinder 32 is operated by the amount of the pressure oil, and thereby a first slide bench 30A is moved. A cutting tool 62 is rotated at all times around a pipe shaft following the unevenness of the pipe surface. Accordingly, even if the pipe outer peripheral surface is deformed, the depth of bite of the cutting tool 62 is uniform, enabling high precision chamfering to be effected.
