Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain in economical change gear having capacity larger than that of a mechanical coupling, the convenience of electric system, and performance corresponding to that of a variable speed drive system.
CONSTITUTION: The change gear comprises a first rotor 10 coupled with one rotary shaft and serves as a field electrode, and a second rotor 11 coupled with the other rotary shaft and produces a rotating field for generating torque with respect to the first rotor. The second rotor 11 has an armature winding generating a rotating field and a rotary transformer 12 for feeding AC power to the armature winding to produce the rotating field is installed to the other rotary shaft thus transmitting torque between the rotary shafts.
