Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the theft by forbidding the operation of a transmission lever even when an engine is directly connected with a starter of an automobile.
SOLUTION: A grip 2 is mounted on a top part of a hollow transmission lever 1, a lock 3 rotatable around a central line c of the lever 1 and fixed in the sliding direction is mounted inside the grip 2, a keyway 3' of the lock 3 is opened on an upper end part of the grip 2, an opening and closing lid 2' is pivoted on the upper end part, a spindle 4 fixed to the lock 3 is vertically mounted in the hollow lever 1, both side guides 5 and 5 of the lever 1 are fixed to a stop position such as neutral or parking, of the lever 1, and a device for laterally taking in and out a slider 8 by the forward and backward rotation of the spindle 4, is mounted in a female hole 7 formed on one of the guides 5.
