PURPOSE: To improve the operability by operating a numerical switch key for channel selection indication so as to apply power and generating a channel switching control output corresponding thereto at the same time so as to apply channel selection.

CONSTITUTION: In the discrimination of ON/OFF data, even when it is discriminated that the operation input from an ON/OFF switch key of an operation keyboard 1 remains turned off, the correct input from the numerical switch key of the operation keyboard 1 is discriminated and when the operation input comes from the numerical switch key, a control output applying the power of a television set 10 is generated. Then the channel selection control output of a channel corresponding to the operated numerical switch key is generated so as to apply simultaneously the application of power of the television set 10 and the control of the desired channel selection via the channel control. Then the application of power and the channel selection of the desired channel are applied simultaneously to improve remarkably the operability.
