Title:
CHARACTER FONT DEFORMING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6481988
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a deformed font having a higher degree of freedom by sticking a character font on a two-dimensional(2D) plane to the surface of a three-dimensional(3D) solid and two-dimensionally projecting the character font.

CONSTITUTION: Relating to a character font projector 4, a prescribed position in x-y-z 3D coordinate space is defined as a visual point, respective picture elements stuck to a solid are projected from the visual point position to a 2D plane by a mapping arithmetic unit 3 and a set of respective projected picture elements is set up as a new character font. For instance, a character '23' spherically mapped in a block of the unit 3 is two-dimensionally projected as shown in a block of the projector 4. A large difference in the degrees of freedom of deformation exists between a reference font '23' in a block 1 and a deformed font '23' in the block 4. Consequently a deformed font having a high degree of freedom is obtained.
