Abstract:

To set an appropriate display time required for reading characters for each character string being a display object.

A character information display device includes: a reading difficulty-discriminating part 3 which discriminates whether the character string being the display object is an easy-to-read character string or a difficult-to-read character string based on an attribute of the character discriminated by a character attribute discriminating part 2; and a display time-setting part 4 which, when the reading difficulty-discriminating part 3 discriminates the character string being the display object as the easy-to-read character string, sets a display time of the character string being the display object to a reference display time, and when the reading difficulty-discriminating part 3 discriminates the character string as the difficult-to-read character string, sets a display time of the character string being the display object to a longer time than the reference display time.
