Abstract:
PURPOSE: To change a thickness of a specific character, such as Kana characters, to output an impressive sentence by providing a thickness change means changing a thickness of a specific character on a thickness change instruction from a thickness change instruction means.
CONSTITUTION: Whether or not a character code represents a Kana character is judged. If it is a Kana character code and a first switch 12 is turned ON, a thickness change processing for making a thickness boldface is conducted. Modified form data having a thickness larger than a character thickness obtained from data stored in a character ROM 3 by 20 percent is generated. On the other hand, if the switch 12 is turned OFF and a second switch 13 is turned ON, a thickness change processing for making a thickness lightface is conducted. Modified form data having a thickness smaller than the character thickness obtained from the data stored in the character ROM 3 by 20 percent is generated. The generated modified form data is converted to short vector data based on read size data Zd and form modification instruction data.
