To solve problems in using charcoal powder as a replacement for oil used for heating in winter to achieve stable increased yield in greenhouse gardening, as the price of oil is increased, which presses management, that the charcoal powder is inexpensive as is different from charcoal lump used as fuel, but as it is powder and does not have air permeability, a device and a method of burning the charcoal powder must be developed to find a method of burning the substance.

The substance received in a container is ignited from its upper portion and gradually burnt downward by forming an air supply chamber around the container and adjusting a pressure and air volume. Thus the device for burning the substance with the air without scattering of powder dust can be achieved. Further, it is found that a carbonic acid gas generated from a carbon source, that is, charcoal powder can be effectively utilized for crops, and since an existing carbonic acid gas controller can be used for controlling the carbonic acid gas so that the carbonic acid gas becomes not excessive, two problems on greenhouse gardening can be simultaneously solved.
