Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life of a secondary battery in a charge and discharge control circuit wherein charging and discharging of the secondary battery is controlled by turning on and off a switch circuit.
SOLUTION: A charging and discharging control circuit 102 is so constituted that when a certain set voltage is reached in the charge and discharge control circuit 102, a current control switch circuit 103 is turned on and an internal control circuit starts operating. In other words, the circuit is constituted so that in a state in which the internal control circuit and the like function with the battery voltage which has a certain set voltage, thereby the operating time per charging of equipment wherein a secondary battery is used by reducing the current consumption of the charge and discharge control circuit 102 is prolonged and furthermore the reliability of the charge and discharge control circuit 102 is enhanced. More specifically, the charge and discharge control circuit 102 is so constituted that when a certain set voltage is reached in the charge and discharge control circuit 102, the internal control circuit starts operating. The charge and discharge control circuit 102 is constituted so that in other cases, the internal control circuit 102 will not consume current from batteries.
