Abstract:
To provide a charged water particle spray system capable of ensuring high fire extinguishing and smoke removing performance by high accurately detecting the charged polarity of a fine particle fuel-air mixture generated in a spraying target region such as a building in which a fire occurs.SOLUTION: The charged water particle spray system sprays charged water particles sprayed by a charge spray head to a spray target region. A fine particle fuel-air mixture 100 generated in the spraying target region is sucked toward a charge detector 80 by a suction device, and the charged polarity of the fine particle fuel-air mixture 100 is detected by the charge detector 80. The charge detector 80 passes the fine particle fuel-air mixture 100 through a cylindrical electrode 95 covered with a Faraday cage 96 having outer cylinders 98a, 98b, converts inductive charges attracted to the outer periphery of the cylindrical electrode 95 into a voltage signal by a charge detection unit 105, determines the charged polarity of the fine particle fuel-air mixture by a determination unit 114, and outputs the result to a control unit. The control unit executes control to switch the charged polarity of the sprayed fine particles to polarity reverse to the charged polarity of the fine particle fuel-air mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
