To prevent dust from being attached to a power supplying terminal of a charger for a portable device.

An opening 7 is formed at a receiving section 6 for mounting the portable device. A contact 8a of the power supplying terminal 8 protrudes from the opening 7 and extends into the receiving section 6. When the portable device is mounted, the contact 8a contacts with a power supplied terminal in the portable device. A lid member 12 is provided on the back face of the receiving section 6, and vertically slides. Since the opening 7 is always closed by the lid member 12, the dust is prevented from being attached to the power supplying terminal 8. When the portable device is mounted, the lid member 12 receives the weight of the portable device, downwardly slides, and opens the opening 7.
