Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous charging operation in which the charging operation starts under the condition that a secondary battery is not loaded, by turning off the charging control means for the specified period to reset the charging terminal when the result of charging detection means is higher than the setting voltage of the first reference voltage setting means.
SOLUTION: A charging detection circuit 14 detects +B voltage of a charging terminal (Vout) 8 and input it to a NAND circuit b of a charging stop circuit 13. The charging stop circuit 13 turns off the charging for the period T2 (for example, 200ms) by a NAND circuit b when the +B voltage of Vout 8 is higher than 6V (temporary setting) preset by the charging detection circuit 14 for the purpose of discharging the capacitor Co. Namely, the drive transistor Tr3 is driven by an output of the NAND circuit b to discharge the capacitor Co, and turns off the control terminal Vc with the charging off signal T2' from the driven transistor Tr4 to stop the charging for the period T2. As a result, malfunction of the charging apparatus can be prevented.
