Abstract:

To provide a charge control method for a secondary battery capable of suppressing occurrence of failure in a conventional SOC control method, and a charge control system therefor.SOLUTION: A charge control method for a secondary battery controls charging of a secondary battery on the basis of an arithmetical SOC that is obtained by calculating a charge rate (SOC) of the secondary battery. The charge control method includes a correction step of performing correction work for matching the arithmetical SOC to an actual SOC of the secondary battery in any timing. The correction work is work for continuing the charging in a state in which the control of the charging based on the arithmetical SOC is temporarily stopped, measuring an intra-battery pressure value of the secondary battery during the charging, stopping the charging at a time point when the intra-battery pressure value reaches a preset pressure value, and correcting the arithmetical SOC at the time point of reaching the preset pressure value by rewriting the arithmetical SOC with a novel SOC. The novel SOC is an actual SOC, corresponding to the preset pressure value, calculated from a previously grasped correspondence between the intra-battery pressure value and the actual SOC of the secondary battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
