Title:
CHARGING DEVICE OF SECONDARY BATTERY FOR ELECTRIC AUTOMOBILE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08113041
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To house a large number of batteries with a high density by arranging guides almost in parallel in a displaced shape under a revolving orbit of flexible linear transmission bodies arranged in a tower-shaped support body, arranging the large number of battery holding stands moved along the revolving orbit, and distributing electric power to the respective battery holding stands from electric power supply for charging.

CONSTITUTION: Flexible linear transmission bodies 5 to form a revolving orbit are rotatably arranged in a tower-shaped support body, and guides 7 are arranged almost in parallel in a displaced shape under its revolving orbit. A large number of battery holding stands 8 whose upper end parts are pivotally fixed to the flexible linear transmission bodies 5 and lower end parts are guided by the guides 7 and have almost horizontal battery support parts 8c, are provided, and secondary batteries are carried out and carried in from a lower battery carrying-in and carrying out part to the battery holding stands 8 existing in a specific position. Conductive contactors 12a protrude from one end parts of upper end shafts 8a of the battery holding stands 8 so as to freely protrude and retreat, and when the contactors 12a elastically contact with inside surfaces of conductive bodies 11, the secondary batteries on the respective battery holding stands 8 are charged with electricity.
