Title:
Charging equipment for electric vehicles
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP5971540
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
A luminous material is used in the material that forms at least a portion of the section of a charging cable (1) exposed to the surface thereof; hence, when an electric vehicle (100) is charged at night, the charging cable (1) lying on the ground emits light because of the activity of the luminous material. In other words, it is possible to improve the visibility of the charging cable (1) by emitting light from the surface thereof, and as a result, it is possible to improve safety by decreasing the likelihood that a person would trip on the charging cable (1). Moreover, the surface of the charging cable (1) emits light using the light irradiated from the luminous material; hence, this feature differs from attaching an electric light source (LED, etc.) to the surface of the charging cable (1), and it is possible to conserve energy and save electricity by suppressing excessive power consumption.
