Abstract:
To provide a charging member that achieves, at a high level, both prevention of exudation of low-molecular weight components from an elastic layer to a surface and superior charging performance of an electrophotographic photoreceptor.
A charging member comprises a substrate, an elastic layer and a surface layer. The surface layer comprises a polymer having Si-O-Ti linkages. The polymer comprises constituent units represented by a general formula (1) and constituent units represented by a general formula (2).
