Abstract:
To provide a Buddhist altar which eliminates the need to purchase a charnel house or a grave by adding a cinerary space to the Buddhist altar, enables visiting to the grave at home, and enables anniversary Buddhist memorial service and the like to be distributed from a temple and the like.SOLUTION: A front portion of a thin Buddhist altar 1 is seen as a slightly thick casing if pictures, photographs or other designs are attached thereto in a state where a front cover 3 is closed. The Buddhist altar has such a shape that can be hung on the wall even when a small cinerary box 4 that stores powder-like ashes is added thereto. A box that stores one urn can be attached to the back portion of the Buddhist altar. In worship, the front cover 3 itself becomes a table on which incense sticks and flowers can be placed when the front cover 3 is opened, an image of a thin Buddhist altar 1 is displayed on a display 2 on the Buddhist altar front surface, and the image may not only be the fixed image but also the photograph or the video of the deceased. In the Buddhist memorial service or the Bon festival, a sutra can be distributed through cooperation with a temple and the like. In the visiting to the grave, a screen is switched to the grave with the touch to the display 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
